Picket was very young when his and Heather's parents were captured. Imagine if your parents were taken away from you when you were gone. What would you have done? Picket was very sulky. No one really liked him. But as time goes on, he becomes more grown up. Some friends of mine say Smalls is mean to him. I would disagree with him. Picket is mad at Smalls because he thinks Smalls doesn't know what he is going through. But Smalls does know what he is going through.

One decision Picket had to make was if he should go after Smalls, when Kyle betrayed him. I think he should have gone. If he hadn't, Smalls would be dead, and Picket would lose one of his best friends. And all hope would be gone.

Another decision he had to make is telling Smalls to go save the slaves. It was a great idea, but it was too risky. They didn't know what would happen. I think he shouldn't have advised him to go. It was just too risky.

Picket did make a few other good decisions.
