Okay, so we loaned our copies of LA and FF to our nana, she likes reading children's books, so we don't have them and we wanted to post a picture. Without them this require you to put in a little more work.
That being said we want you to get your copy of LA or FF out and lay it front of you. Look at it closely. Notice anything?
If not that's okay, its hard to see at first. Now turn your back to the book and act like your holding a bow the same way Jo is...
You see it now don't you.... Jo is left handed!!!
Not sure if that was on purpose or not, but its cool none the less... One of us is left handed so we found it to really cool!
Let us know if you noticed it before we mentioned it or not...
yeah I saved like every picture in the series
On the cover of FF he has the bracer on his right arm...
same on the cover of LA.
in EE things get complicated. in some pictures he has it on his right, but in this picture (⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️) he has the bracer on his left!!!
Interesting. I wonder if Zach got confused about which hand holds the bow, haha. It's possible. It is also possible that although it's inconsistent, they can still go with it. It makes sense to be able to shoot with both arms but still having one dominant shooting arm. (I know a guy who although was right handed, he still could decently shoot left-handed. And HE knew a guy who swapped shooting arms every shot). It could be he just injured his dominant shooting arm.
Interesting. Although, the wiki has a couple shots of his drawing his bow with his right hand: https://thegreenember.fandom.com/wiki/Jo_Shanks/Gallery
Might have to bug S.D. Smith or the artist(s) about it.
This is interesting... I don't think I ever really noticed it, and yet I've drawn him always with his bow in his right hand. However, I usually draw his sword on the left side (with one exception where I was probably using a reference). Maybe I was confused because I'm left-handed in writing but right handed in shooting and swinging (swords, baseball bats, etc.). (Come to think of it, though, I sword fight almost just as much with my left hand, actually). So sort of yes, but also no.
