So @Saga recently posted a fic that recalled to my mind Picket’s admiration of Fleck Blackstar. That got me thinking: what might Fleck have thought of Picket at various points in the timeline? For that matter, what might various other characters from the Dragon War thought of, hoped for, or sympathized with when it came to their descendants? I feel like the topic could be quite interesting.

My initial thoughts on the subject involved Fleck feeling sorry for Picket and wishing to comfort him at his lowest point. Then, as they often do, my thoughts turned to possible humor.

Picket: *saves Smalls* Fleck: That a buck! I wonder if he’d like my distant great-granddaughter?

Whitson: Much as as I would also approve of seeing him end up with our distant great-granddaughter, I think it’s obvious he’s closer to my other distant great-granddaughter.
