So from the first time I listened to the chapter that introduced the concept of the Fowlers, I expected that the final battle for Natalia would involve the Cause invading the High Bleaks. This seemed to fit the spirit of the rabbits taking the fight to the enemy. Of course, as we all know, that’s not how things ended up playing out. And judging by how nasty the fight to defend First Warren was, it’s probably just as well that the rabbits never tried to invade the High Bleaks.
Did anyone else think this might have been the setting for the final battle before Ember’s End? And do you think the rabbits would actually have had a chance in facing the Preylords in their own mountains?
I thought that a siege was the most likely outcome, but I also thought that the rabbits might have decided that First Warren was to weak to withstand a siege and moved to intercept Morbin's army and fight a set piece field battle.
we might have lost Jo or Cole
I think it would have been cool, but more dangerous. HIGH. FLY. BIRD.
Ooo! That’s very interesting! I didn’t catch that.... well... I think it would have been super cool if the final battle had been in the high bleaks, the rabbits probably would have never stood a chance though. Morbin came to the seven standing stones to defeat the fowlers once and for all, but to no success. so that makes it obvious that I would be harder to fight in the opposing sides fortress. The rabbits had medics and were familiar with the place so they probably wouldnt win the final battle unless Hayward and his crew came up with some crazy invention of some sort.
So that probably was the first plan of where the rabbits should fight but Smith probably realized how hard that would make it... it would be a lot more complicated...
but what do I know 🤷♀️
I thought that. (of course I used to think whit's name was belston) yet i also read the last chapter of ER before i read the rest, sooooo i thought and Heather and smalls were in the high bleaks..... I also thought that perk never died but came to the aid of the other fowlers to attack the bleaks
